How we handle your information.

Short version: we collect what you send us through the enquiry form, we use it to answer you, we only email you anything else if you tick the box asking us to, we do not sell it, and we do not track you around the internet.

Who we are

Point Eleven is a trading name of Smudge Engineering Ltd (registered in England & Wales, company number 16530983). We provide 3D digital twin scanning and drone roof inspections. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for the information described here.

You can reach us about anything on this page at info@pointeleven.co.uk, or by post at C/O Gardian Accounting Ltd, 4 Imperial Place, Maxwell Road, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, WD6 1JN.

What we collect, and why

If you fill in the enquiry form we collect your name, your company, your email address, and your phone number if you choose to give it. We also collect what you tell us about the building; its location, size, and what you need.

We use that solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and carry out any work you go on to instruct. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you tick the box on the enquiry form asking us to, and we do not sell or share your details for anyone else's marketing.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you have contacted us about a service and expect a reply. Where you go on to instruct us, we process what is necessary to perform that contract.

Who else sees it

Enquiries are delivered through a form service, which processes the message on our behalf and passes it to our inbox. Our website is hosted by Netlify. Where twins are hosted on Matterport's platform, information you put into a tour is processed by them.

Some of these providers operate outside the UK, so your information may be transferred internationally under the safeguards those providers have in place. We do not otherwise transfer your information abroad.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for 2 years so we can pick up a conversation you left off. Where we carry out work for you, we keep project records and the resulting scans for 7 years (subject to continued hosting subscription), after which they are deleted unless you ask us to retain them.

Cookies and anything stored on your device

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Nothing here follows you to other websites.

One small item is stored by your browser for the length of your visit: a note that you have already seen the opening animation, so it is not shown again. It contains no personal information and is discarded when you close the tab.

Where a page embeds an interactive 3D tour, that tour is provided by Matterport and will not load until you choose to open it. Once you do, Matterport may set its own cookies, governed by their privacy policy rather than ours.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Write to info@pointeleven.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113. In the unlikely event something like this occurs, we would rather you raised it with us first so we can put it right.

Marketing emails

The enquiry form carries a box you can tick to hear from us occasionally: what we have been capturing, what people are using digital twins for, and any offers. It is unticked by default, we send a few times a year at most, and your enquiry is answered exactly the same whether you tick it or not. Our lawful basis for these emails is your consent, and we keep the record of your enquiry as the record of that consent.

You can stop them at any time: reply to any email we send, or write to info@pointeleven.co.uk, and we will remove you straight away. We keep you on the list until you unsubscribe, and keep the record of the opt-in for 2 years afterwards so we can show when and how you consented. We never pass your address to anyone else to market to you.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle information we will update this page. It was last updated on 08/09/2026.
